Geographic Information System (Addressing)

The Will County 9-1-1 GIS Department maintains all Geofile data for the CAD system and produces maps for PSAPs, as well as police and fire agencies.

The department collaborates with wireless providers, public safety agencies, U.S. Postal Service, other county offices, and the State 9-1-1 Coordinator. It is responsible for assigning addresses in unincorporated areas of Will County and for providing PSAPs and agencies with the GIS data required for CAD, mapping, and records systems.

In addition, the department maintains, updates, and manages the CAD layers that support the 9-1-1 system; prepares digital and printed maps for agencies and vendors; assists in developing dashboards for the Will County 9-1-1 Hub site.
