Welcome to the Will County 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System website. Our goal is to provide clear information, education, and resources to help make your home, school, and workplace safer for you and your family.

We take great pride in serving the residents and businesses acting as the critical communication link for emergency responders. In partnership with three Public Safety Answering Points located in Joliet and Plainfield, we work together to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses across 54 emergency service agencies. Our mission is to protect lives and preserve property through effective communication and coordination.

By investing in advanced technology, state-of-the-art communication systems, and comprehensive training programs, we continue to meet the evolving needs of our growing community. I am proud of our highly trained and dedicated team, whose commitment ensures the highest standard of emergency communication services.

The Will County 9 1-1 System is one of the largest in the State of Illinois, serving nearly 700,000 residents. Each year, the system processes more than 1.25 million emergency calls and dispatches, ensuring timely and reliable response services for the community through supporting a wide range of mission-critical services, including Computer-Aided Dispatch, Geographic Information Systems, addressing, fire and EMS operations, law enforcement records, telecommunications, and data networking, as well as public education and financial management.
