New Address Assignment and Verification
Before completing the New Address Assignment Application or Address Verification Form, please ensure you have the following documentation and information available:
- Copy of the current property deed (or recorded document number).
- Certified site plan clearly showing the location and driveway of the proposed structure
- The property tax identification number (parcel number), formatted as: 00-00-00-000-000-0000
- Permit number issued by Will County Land Use
Please note that an on-site visit by County personnel could be required for an address assignment. Be sure to provide detailed and accurate information about the exact location for which the address is being requested.
If you have not completed the permitting process through Will County Land Use, you must do so before requesting an address assignment.

Addresses are typically available but not limited to 10 business days after the permit is issued in the Will County Land Use portal. Upon request, your assigned address can also be provided by mail, fax, or email.
